THUMB & PYLON — Privacy Policy

THUMB & PYLON is a single-player tower defence game that publishes scores to online leaderboards. This policy describes exactly what the game collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is short because the game collects very little.

What the game collects

• An anonymous account. The first time you open the game it creates a random identifier so your scores can be attributed to you. There is no sign-up, no email address, no password, and no name.
• Your scores. The score, star rating and time of each completed level.
• A recording of your run. When you finish a level, the game sends the sequence of taps and purchases you made. The server replays it to confirm the score is genuine. It contains nothing about you — only what you did in the game.
• Google Play Games details, only if you sign in. Your Play Games player ID, your gamertag, and the URL of your Play Games avatar. Signing in is optional; the game is fully playable and rankable without it.
• Ordinary network information. As with any online service, our hosting provider handles the IP address your device connects from in order to deliver responses. The game itself does not read or store it.

What the game does not collect

• No advertising, ad identifiers or advertising networks.
• No analytics, tracking or behavioural profiling of any kind.
• No location, contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera access.
• No email address, phone number, date of birth or payment details.

What other players can see

Leaderboards show your gamertag and avatar next to your score if you have signed in to Play Games. If you have not, you appear under an automatically generated label such as PYLON-8279, which identifies nobody.

Where it is stored

Scores, run recordings and profiles are stored with Supabase, on servers in the European Union. If you sign in to Play Games, that sign-in is handled by Google under Google's privacy policy. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers.

How long it is kept

Scores and profiles are kept for as long as the leaderboards exist, since a leaderboard is a record over time. Run recordings are kept so that scores remain verifiable.

Deleting your data

You can ask for your account and everything attached to it — profile, scores and run recordings — to be permanently deleted. Email privacy@trendingdevs.com and, if you have signed in to Play Games, include your gamertag so the right account can be found. Requests are actioned within 30 days.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. There is nothing in the game that asks for personal details.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
